Who may use the service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep your login credentials confidential, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized account access. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.

The service

RVA SimpleBudget helps you manually record, organize, and review budget information. It does not connect to your bank or independently verify the accuracy or completeness of information you enter. Features may include monthly budgets, transaction tracking, category allocations, savings targets, exports, and subscription-only history or insights.

RVA SimpleBudget provides educational budgeting tools, not financial, investment, tax, legal, credit, or accounting advice. You remain responsible for your financial decisions and for checking your records.

Free and paid plans

RVA SimpleBudget offers a free plan and a paid Plus plan. Plus currently costs $5.99 per month or $49 per year, plus any applicable taxes. The plan, total price, and billing interval are shown before you complete checkout.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing interval until canceled. You authorize our payment provider to charge the payment method on file at each renewal. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal in account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you will retain paid access until then unless otherwise required by law. We may change future subscription prices with reasonable advance notice; a price change will not alter charges already paid.

Payments are processed by Stripe through Floot Payments. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, completed charges are non-refundable. If you believe a charge was made in error or exceptional circumstances apply, contact RVASimpleBudget@gmail.com. Refund requests are reviewed case by case and remain subject to applicable law.

Your information and permission to operate the service

You retain ownership of the information you enter. You give us a limited permission to host, copy, process, back up, and display that information solely as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service and comply with law. You represent that you have the right to provide the information you submit. You may export your budget or delete your account using account settings.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law or violate another person’s rights; access another person’s account without permission; probe, bypass, or interfere with security; introduce malicious code; overload or disrupt the service; scrape or use automated traffic in a way that harms the service or other users; or misrepresent your affiliation with RVASimpleBudget.

Availability, changes, and account suspension

We work to keep the service available, but interruptions may occur for maintenance, security, technical failures, or circumstances beyond our control. We may add, change, or discontinue features. When reasonably practical, we will provide advance notice of material changes that significantly reduce a paid feature.

We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or its users, investigate fraud or harmful activity, comply with law, or address a material violation of these terms. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, that every calculation will meet your needs, or that information you enter is complete or accurate. You should maintain any records you need independently and review important calculations before relying on them. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RVASimpleBudget will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or opportunities arising from the service. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, and they do not reduce any non-waivable consumer rights.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections in the place where you live. You and RVASimpleBudget may bring a claim in any state or federal court that has jurisdiction. These terms do not require individual arbitration or waive the right to a jury trial.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service or applicable law changes. We will post revised terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice of material changes when required. Changes apply prospectively. Continuing to use the service after revised terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not agree, you should stop using the service and may delete your account.
